Recognizing its many blessings, the school looks for opportunities to give back to the community through various parish and student-led initiatives.
Guadalupe Home
In partnership with the OLPH Come As You Are (CAYA) Women's Study Group who collected donations as their Christmas project, the Community Service class delivered clothes, toys and other baby necessities to the Guadalupe Home. This transitional living program helps young unwed mothers to gain skills and education for independent living while building their new families. Adding their own gifts to the CAYA donations, the Community Service class took the school bus to the Guadalupe Home and received a tour of the facilities where they learned of the home's history, mission, and ongoing needs. They left with a deeper appreciation of their abilities to serve their sisters in need, and for the many blessings they were given to share.
Thanksgiving Baskets
Every year, each class provides all the fixings for a family Thanksgiving dinner. Students bring in their donations at Friday Mass to thank God for the many blessings they have to share.
