National Junior Beta Club was founded July 21, 1961 as a division of the National Beta Club.
It is a non-secret, non-profit, Leadership-service club. Its purpose is to encourage effort and reward merit, and to promote those qualities of character that make for good citizenship.
At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, membership is limited to 7th and 8th grade students who are of outstanding merit, and who have been nominated by the principal and faculty of the middle school. A student is required to maintain a 94 grade point average for two consecutive nine-week periods before being admitted to the club.
The OLPH Junior Beta Club sponsors several events over the school year to include selling Boo Grams in October, Poinsettias in November, and an Easter Egg hunt for Kindergarten classes in the Spring.
